Celebrating 25 Years of Great Wines & Great Times!

Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards has begun a full year commemoration of its twenty-five years of winemaking in the Finger Lakes region. 2010 marks the Silver Anniversary of Jerry and Elaine Hazlitt’s Great Wines and Great Times. Opened in 1985, Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards has evolved into one of the most popular destinations in the region. Hazlitt Winery is rated one of America’s Top 25 Tasting Rooms by Wine Enthusiast magazine and is home to the ever-popular Red Cat.

While the building is a little bigger than the day the doors opened in 1985, the spirit has remained the same. “This is still a warm and friendly place to enjoy award-winning wines including some of the best Rieslings in the world,” says Leigh Hazlitt-Triner, one of the sixth-generation Hazlitts now operating the winery. “My Dad always loved telling
great stories about the Finger Lakes and teaching visitors about wine. He’d be so happy
that Hazlitts is still a place where you can enjoy a casual atmosphere and no snobbery or
intimidation with the wines.”

The Silver Anniversary salute will be a year filled with feature wine specials, Case Club
parties, consumer contests and prizes and a variety of tribute items celebrating 25 years
of Great Wines and Great Times at Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards & Winery.

 Constellation Brands and Rochester Institute of Technology Collaborate with Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards & Winery, OCOED & OCIDA to Maintain Widmer Winery as a Functioning Production Facility
